"Grizzly Adams DID have a Beard!" - Lee Trevino

Today, I gave up an opportunity to get real weird at the running of the 100th annual San Francisco Bay to Breakers to stay home and watch an Epic Game 7 of the Western Conference 2nd Round.  There was a time when the University of Memphis Tigers had a higher payroll than the Grizz! Can Z-Bo carry Memphis to the Western Conference Finals or will The Durantula send them back to the land of BBQ.  So today, I threw up a vintage Vancouver Grizzlies shooting shirt from 1995!  Im sure Bryant Reeves would approve!

"Nobody in the World can cover My Main Man Michael Jordan! No body, No body, No Body!" - Mars Blackmon

I just realized I can't have a business called Sole Food SF and not post any kicks or sneaker pick ups on the blog.  Today I was fortunate to pick up a lightly used pair of Nike Air Jordan Retro III Black and Cement Sz.11 from 2001.  Definitely one of my Top 5 favorite shoes of all time!  Remember when quality was relevant in the Sneaker Game?  Yea, those days are long gone...but at least we have these gems to serve as a reminder, gone but not forgotten!

"We're Going to Turn This Team Around 360 Degrees!" - Jason Kidd

NBA Career 3pt. Leaders:  Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, JASON KIDD?  Mr. Triple Double still has a little left in his tank.  As the Mavericks stole Game 1 at the Staples Center against the Lakers in the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs, I couldn't help but remember where J.Kidd started his career...right there in Dallas!  He has come 360 degrees right back to the Mavericks (maybe that's what he meant by his quote), this time he may have the talent to make a legitimate run at the NBA Finals.  Today I threw up a Vintage Champion Jersey, a Vintage Mavericks Polo shirt, and a Vintage Deadstock Dallas Mavericks Starter Brand Snapback Hat!

"Today...I am The Greatest... of All Time...Thank You!" - Rickey Henderson The Man of Steal

It was exactly 20 years ago today that Rickey Henderson surpassed Lou Brock as baseball's career stolen base leader.  In honor of The Man of Steal, I am throwing up a Vintage Rickey Henderson 939th Stolen Base Record Caricature shirt from 1991!  His acceptance speech was a thing of beauty...Thank You!
